TERRY THE SCOTTISH CHARACTER
Scotland meets California
Terry is a T2 Westfalia born in California back in 1976. He’s a left-hand-drive and can sleep up to 4 people. He’s named after a very good friend of us who comes from Scotland. His look has a country flavour. Like the man who is named after Terry has travelled the world and is always ready for new adventures! What’s in it?
Terry has two comfy double beds, one downstairs and one upstairs. He’s equipped with sink, cooker and a coolbox. He has a car stereo with aux for ipod and a front USB so that you can play your favourite music and have the perfect soundtrack for your holiday! Terry can carry up to 4 people. He has 4 seats belts: 2 lap and diagonal in the front and 2 lap and diagonal belts in the back. All kitchen equipment is provided so that you can experience some proper camping cuisine. And in case you’re lucky enough to have sunshine, there is also an outdoor table with a couple of chairs. -
about us
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
We are a young couple with a great passion for road trips and old VW campers. The idea of making a small business out of our passion came during a nice long trip we made last year and three small episodes in a short period of time sort of walked us towards it. #1 – On our way to Ireland We had a short road trip to Ireland and we were driving in our Transit (we weren’t proud owners of a VW), when we spotted a T2 on the way. This is nothing rare here in the UK but was just nice to wave at the other driver and receive a smile and wave back. #2 – A late-summer Sicilian wedding A couple of good friends got married in the beautiful town of Sciacca in Sicily. We were standing in the square just outside the church and literally start jumping when we saw that waiting at the bottom of the staircase there was a beautiful red T2 waiting for the just married couple. #3 – Planning our road-trip in South Africa Among the three, this was what really clicked the idea in our minds. Sat on a sofa of a friend in South Africa, we were planning our road trip from Cape Town to Johannesburg. We love camping so we browsed few campers’ hire websites (probably the same thing you’re doing now!!) and for some reasons ended up on a UK VW campervan hire website. We instantly fall in love with the idea and basically here we are! Just in case you’re curious, unfortunately the VWs in South Africa were booked out for a festival and we ended up with a car and a tent, it was a lot of fun anyway! On our way back to the UK we bought the two beautiful T2s and another journey started: the restoration one!!! You can follow the full restoration journeys here: And now we are ready for the next part of the journey, rent the vans out to you and let you live your own adventures! So if you share with us the passion for road-trips and VWs, hire a campervan today! What will be your story? -
OUR VW CAMPERVANS
All our vans have their own story and personality. We named them after friends that we met along the way (working abroad and travelling around) and we shaped them around their characters. Both our vans have been fully restored and customized by us. You can see here the full Terry’s restoration. Our Johnny.com still needs a lot of care and attention, you can follow the progress of all the work here.Terry (4-berth)
Terry comes from California where he was born in 1976. He’s a left-hand-drive and can sleep up to 4 people.
Johnny.com (2-berth)
Johnny.com is still under restoration and will be available very soon. Check out the restoration!

VW Bus Types 2014← back
Here we are! Finally ready for our first trip on board of Terry. With a spare set of spanners and screwdrivers we went to Oswestry for the VW Bus Types show 2014. The trip was very smooth and the brand new engine we recently installed worked like a treat! It was a lot of fun driving and waving at all the other fellow T2s on the way. We cover the 90 miles in a couple of hours and when we got to the show the field was already packed with VW vehicles of any kind. We had great time browsing around the stalls and admiring some of the great campervans on show. Shows are a lot of fun, it’s a great family-break. Check-out some of the festivals and shows in the area and hire a VW campervan!
